Call of Duty publishers teases Gamecom reveal

Activision reviving Sierra brand

Activision is set to announce a revival the classic Sierra brand for games in Cologne next week.

The company has launched the new sierra.com, with a video teaser showing a redesigned logo (which you can watch below). The site also has the message "Gamescom 2014".

Unfortunately, that’s all anyone knows so far. It’s not clear if this will be a revival of the classic ’80s Quest series, with games such as King’s Quest and Space Quest, or the return of the various Vivendi properties that were integrated into Sierra, such as Crash Bandicoot.

Activison and Sierra parent Vivendi merged in 2008, with Sierra later closed down for a potential sale. This is the first that has been heard since.

All eyes on Cologne, then.
