Adam Orth says Three Zero One has "run its course"

Adam Orth joins First Contact Entertainment

Adam Orth, recently known for the lost-in-space virtual reality game Adr1ft, has joined VR studio First Contact Entertainment as a creative strategist.

Orth broke the news to VentureBeat, saying that that his startup Three One Zero has "run its course" after Adr1ft and that he’s not working with the First Contact with his role involving work on new IP and also assistance with business development and strategic relationships.

First Contact is a startup based in Los Angeles that raised $5m in funding last October. So far, the company has already released ROM Extraction. First Contact is headed up by the former Starbreeze LA creative producer Hess Barber, who is joined by veterans from Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Blizzard.

Orth is perhaps best known for a Twitter spat he got involved in after making a joke about always-on consoles with a friend, that then spiralled out of control. This led to him leaving his position at Microsoft.
