Nokia launches beta version of its next-gen mobile game services

After several delays N-Gage finally launches

Nokia has launched a beta version of its next-gen mobile game service after several delays.

A so-called First Access ‘pre-release’ of the N-Gage app is now available for download to Nokia’s N81 and N81 8GB handsets.

It’s essentially an on-device portal from which users can trial games and interact with the various N-Gage Arena community features.

There are three demo games included in the beta release – Space Impact: Kappa Base, System Rush: Evolution and Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep.

A full launch of a fully-functional N-Gage app will be presumably take place once Nokia has evaluated feedback from First Access.

More details can be found here at the official First Access website.
