Academyâ??s president to be replaced by Martin Rae

AIAS president to bow out after six years

Joseph Olin, the president of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences who in his six years saw the association grow from 3000 to 20,000 members, has announced his retirement from the group.

He will work at the Academy until December, and is said will be replaced by industry exec Martin Rae.

"The Academy truly appreciates the passion and dedication that Joseph brought to the organisation for so many years,” said Jay Cohen, the president of development at Jerry Bruckheimer Games.

“The positive momentum that the organisation enjoys today is a result of his team’s efforts."

Cohen said his replacement Rae was decided “after a careful and thorough selection process”.
