Spokesperson for The Witcher developer foresees bright future if firm goes public

â??No final agreementâ?? on CD Projekt takeover

Polish developer CD Projekt has confirmed to Develop that IT group Optimus has made an offer for the developer.

However, a spokesperson for the developer said that, as it stands, no final agreement on the acquisition has been made.

The group said that Optimus is effectively looking to acquire in return for its own stock, as opposed to cash.

If a deal is reached, CD Projekt would effectively have public stock, and thus would have wider opportunities for investment.

“This means money for future development of [the] whole company,” the spokesperson added. “This is very good news for us.”
