‘Apple has shipped 10m iPhones three months ahead of schedule’

Apple fans at The Mac Observer have been doing some investigation into the serial numbers printed inside each iPhone and how the detail might correlate to the number of handsets made – and they claim that latest info says close to 10m of the popular devices are already on the market.

Readers at Mac Observer’s Apple Finance Board (seen by us via Forbes), have been collating the serial number, and reckon the (seriously) 9,190,680th phone was recently purchased.
