Internal email contradicts director's claim studio is not at work on project

Arkane Austin is Prey 2 dev

The rumours claiming Arkane Austin is working on Prey 2 are true; they just don’t want anyone to know about it yet.

In an internal email obtained by Kotaku, Arkane’s creative director Ralph Colantonio stated that the Texas-based studio would be developing Prey 2, and that it would be a totally new effort as well as a spiritual successor to System Shock 2.

The outlet also obtained another Colantionio email after rumours started swirling, instructing staff no to talk to the “press sneak fucks” who approached with questions.

The news follows Colantonio’s interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, in which he told the PC games blog that he has no idea why anyone would think they are developing the title.
