Virtuos confident that Substance tool set will dramatically boost production

Asian outsourcing studio inks Allegorithmic deal

Shanghai-based outsourced production specialists Virtuos has been announced as the newest company to license Allegorithmic’s suite of Substance art tools.

Virtuos – which is one of Asia’s largest game production firms – specialises in art production and also acts as an outsourced co-developer.

The firm’s licence agreement means it will begin using Allegorithmic’s Substance technology into its art production pipeline.

“3D artists are increasingly in the need of efficient composting tools for creating dynamic textures,” said Andrey Supryaga, the senior art director at Virtuos. “The Substance suite of tools has allowed us to easily create those textures and dramatically boost our productivity by enabling rapid iteration.”
