'We need to cut costs in the short term,' says studio MD

Atomic Planet confirms redundancies

UK independent developer Atomic Planet will shed some of its staff in an attempt to cut costs.

Studio managing director Darren Falcus told us that, while the exact number had yet to be decided, the measure came as a result of cancellations of several in-development and upcoming projects. Two other projects currently in production at the studio remain unharmed.

"We’ve had a couple of projects cancelled and some new ones have fallen through," Falcus told Develop. "As a result, we need to cut costs in the short term."
