JoyBits' DemoGenerator champions try-before-you-buy in mobile space

Automatic mobile demo creator detailed

Demo versions of mobile games could become a more commonplace affair, if Russian developer JoyBits has its way.

It has revealed DemoGenerator, an application that can automatically generate demo versions from nothing more than the full game’s JAR and JAD files. Developers can set a time limit for the game, after which the user will be prompted to purchase the full version via payment methods such as premium SMS.

“Try before you buy is a very effective mobile marketing tool nowadays – the opportunity of trying something before buying it raises the interest of customers and increases their confidence in the developer. It’s a good advertising platform not only for game developer but also for content providers and advertisers," said Sergio Manucharian, head of sales at JoyBits.
