"Flock clearly demonstrates that small independent studios can steal the show", says Tiga's Wilson

BAFTA-winning Flock studio joins Tiga

Dundee-based developer Proper Games is the latest studio to join games industry body Tiga.

Proper Games had previously worked with its publishing partner Capcom to create the XBLA and PSN title Flock. The game had earned the young independent studio a game award at the Scottish BAFTAs.

COO Chris Wright said the studio had joined Tiga to show support for the independent UK games development sector.

“We applaud the work Tiga is doing to raise the profile of the Scottish games industry and to encourage greater industry collaboration through Play Together initiatives,” he added.

Tiga CEO Richard Wilson said that Proper Games is a “fantastic example of the talent and diversity we have in the UK development community.”

He added: “The success of Flock clearly demonstrates that small independent studios can steal the show with the right idea, originality and great execution."
