Finnish studio to expand development team

Best Fiends dev Seriously raises $5m

Best Fiends developer Seriously has secured a further $5m in funding from existing investors.

Total investment in the Finnish start-up has now reached $10m. The studio will use the extra funding to expand its team of 13 staff.

Seriously was founded in 2013 by former Rovio execs Petri Jarvilehto and Andrew Stalbow, specialising in casual games for mobile.

Last month the developer released its debut title on mobile, Best Fiends, which subsequently racked up one million downloads within a week of launch.
