Quebec location staffed by more than 40 developers, led by Yves Lachance

Bethesda opens new Montreal studio

Bethesda Games Studios has opened a new development outlet in Montreal, Quebec.

The new location will concentrate on building upon Bethesda’s PC, console and mobile offerings.

Industry veteran Yves Lachance will head up the team as studio director, leading more than 40 developers who specialise in console and mobile development.

The team is also looking to expand further, with a number of positions currently open.

Bethesda’s Maryland office is also seeking staff.

“We’ve worked with some very talented developers in Montreal for a long time, and decided it was time to open a studio there,” said Bethesda game director and executive producer Todd Howard.

“It’s exciting to think about the new games we’ll be building together.”
