Former Irrational art director to work on The Last of Us

Bioshock artist Nate Wells joins Naughty Dog

Irrational’s former art director for Bioshock Infinite, Nate Wells, has realed that he will be joining Naughty Dog to work on The Last of Us.

The thirteen-year veteran left the studio where he helped work on such landmark titles as Bioshock last week, joined by fellow employee Tim Gerritsen.

Wells had already listed Naughty Dog as an employer on his Linkedin profile, but removed the position shortly after it was first noticed.

Today he confirmed the move on Twitter, telling followers he was going to Santa Monica.

"In this fall, and this is hard, In this fall, I’m taking my talents to South Beach"..wait..I mean #naughtydog and #thelastofus…can’t wait," he said.

Wells’ position at Irrational is to be filled by Scott Sinclair, who served as art director for the original Bioshock.
