Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, the Xbox Live Arcade title created by Develop Award Grand Prix-winning studio Bizarre Creations, is set to make the move to mobile following a deal with Sony BMG.

Bizarre IP heads to mobile

In a curious case of IP switching from Microsoft’s online distribution system to development by Sony’s BMG Music Entertainment division in association with Hardcore3D Wireless, the game will be adapted for wireless handsets and released in the coming months.

“The mobile version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved has been really well received here at Bizarre,” said Martyn Chudley, Bizarre Creations’ MD. “It’s amazing to see how much detail has been recreated on a mobile phone, with the controls feeling great, and still keeping the game faithful to the original.”
