New IP, long-promised and tipped as 'unexpected' due to be detailed next week

Black Rock’s names new racer ‘Split Second’

Details of UK studio Black Rock’s next game are slowly leaking out, with the team confirming that the new title is called Split Second.

The Disney-owned studio has regularly promised – including in interivews with Develop – that the racer is totally new and unlike its previous products.

It developed off-road racer Pure last year, after being acquired by Disney from Climax in 2006, and also made the MotoGP motorcycle racing games for THQ.

More details on Split Second are expected to be made public on March 11th – as suggested by a recent teaser trailer which Disney distributed via YouTube.
