Oliver brothers' studio's senior team en route to Dundee

Blitz jets in to help RTW

A quartet of senior executives at Blitz Game Studios are on their way to Realtime World’s Dundee base, to show support for the 200 staff currently facing unemployment in the wake of the APB studio’s move into administration.

Having previously made contact with RTW’s head of HR John Duthie, Blitz has expressed its sympathy to the displaced staff, and prepared a meeting room at the Apex Hotel, all day this Thursday, and Friday morning.

Blitz’s Studio Development Group, which consists of a team covering the firm’s art, design, management and technical disciplines, will be available to talk to Realtime Worlds staff about the Leamington Spa company and the employment opportunities available.

"We know that Realtime World has some fantastically talented people and were very sorry to hear the news as it broke late last week," said Blitz CEO Philip Oliver. "We think Realtime Worlds staff will be pleasantly surprised at the opportunities we can offer them and look forward to talking with them."

As a founding-member of TIGA and an enthusiastic advocate of the UK games industry’s attributes, Oliver has vowed to continue to lobby the UK government for support in the face of current economical challenge and oversees subsidies.
