Newly revealed project built on BlitzTech, developed for Kinect

Blitz scores Michael Phelps swimming game

Blitz Games Studios is developing a Kinect game based on Olympic swimming victor Michael Phelps.

The project, entitled Michael Phelps: Push the Limit, will use the Xbox motion controller to track the player’s movements to control an in-game swimmer. Its publisher, 505 Games, says the title will help players learn advanced swimming techniques.

It’s the latest big dev project for UK indie stronghold Blitz, which is building the game on its BlitzTech middleware.

“Both Blitz and 505 have spent a lot of time honing the game vision and design to produce an exhilarating experience that we’re all really proud of”, said project director Struan Robertson.
