Developer behind Dungeon Boss expands ahead of first mobile launch

Boss Fight Entertainment opens new Austin studio

US free-to-play dev Boss Fight Entertainment has announced the opening of a brand new office in Austin, Texas.

The new studio will help with the launch of the upcoming Dungeon Boss, the firm’s first mobile title, and work on a second unannounced game.

This will be Boss Fight’s third project team, led by veteran developers Damion Schubert and Matthew Hemby. Boss Fight Austin will also be hiring for multiple positions.

“We view the expansion into Austin as a natural way to scale our operations,” said CEO David Rippy. “There’s a long, successful history of gaming in Austin, and an incredible pool of talent there. Our plan is to establish Boss Fight as premier developer in the Austin area, and to grow the studio to match the size and capability of our McKinney headquarters.”

Boss Fight was formed in 2013 by developers who have worked on CastleVille, Age of Empires and Halo Wars.
