Biz dev role at independent's 1UP publishing division for former MumboJumbo man

Bray joins Blitz

Blitz has today announced the appointment of George Bray as business development manager for its 1UP publishing division.

Set up in 2008, 1UP sees Blitz offer small indie teams an outlet to get their games published on digital download platforms and at retail.

1UP has helped a number of teams who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance getting their games to market, by guiding them from concept to final submission.

With Bray on board, Blitz hopes he can grow the sales of the 1UP-published games in both digital and boxed forms.

Bray previously worked at MumboJumbo and Fuel Industries.

“I’m delighted that George is joining the Blitz 1UP team. With his veteran status in the industry and encyclopaedic knowledge of games I’m certain that he will be tremendous at maximising the distribution of our catalogue,” said Blitz 1UP’s business development director, Chris Swan.

Bray added: “This is a great opportunity as I’ve worked with many (indie) developers over the years and to give them a voice via the Blitz 1UP scheme is an exciting prospect. We’re really looking forwards to opening even more doors for both developers and publishers."

Bray and the Blitz 1UP team will be attending E3 from June 13th to 17th. Developers interested in meeting to discuss further opportunities should email: blitz1UP@blitzgamesstudios.com.
