CCP expands into US

Icelandic developer CCP has expanded to North America buy opening a new office in the USA.

Based in Stone Mountain, Georgia, the office officially opens on October 12th and signals another step in the firm’s growth – last year it merged with US pen and paper company White Wolf, and the compoany says that 40 per cent of its game Eve Online’s 190,000 players are based in the USA.

CCP North America plans to grow signficantly in the next year by adding over 100 new employees for MMOG development and design positions at its Georgia office.

"CCP Games is excited to be at the epicenter of the US online gaming industry," said Mike Tinney, president of CCP North America.

"Following the Merger of CCP Games and White Wolf Publishing last year, we look forward to expanding our CCP North American team and player base over the course of this year."
