Japanese development conference heads to Yokohama Pacifico; 150 sessions planned

CEDEC expands for 2009

CEDEC, Japan’s largest game development conference, is set to expand further for 2009 in what organisers are calling a ‘rebirth’ for the conference.

Previously held at the Showa Women’s University in Tokyo, CEDEC 2009 will take place at the lavish PACIFICO Yokohama complex in Yokohama from September 1st to 3rd.

In addition, event organiser CESA has announced that while last year’s conference broke the 100 sessions barrier, 2009’s event is set to increase that by 50 per cent to reach around 150. New sponsored seminars are set to match the needs of developers to appropriate products and services through sessions, while the Expo floor will get a complete revamp and reintegration thanks to the new location.

A call for speakers is currently open at the CEDEC website, and Western speakers are welcome to apply.
