Brett Close steps down after two years, Jennifer MacLean promoted to CEO

CEO resigns at Big Huge owner 38 Studios

Massachusetts-based developer 38 Studios has lost its CEO of two years, Brett Close.

38 Studios has not provided a reason why Mr Close has stepped down, though the firm announced that it has promoted from within to fill his shoes. Jennifer MacLean, the studio’s SnrVP of business development, will now act as chief executive.

38 Studios, a privately-held group, purchased developer Big Huge Games from THQ back in May. That acquisition included Big Huge’s proprietary IP, tools, technology, assets and works-in-progress.

The studio is yet to announce any projects emerging from the Big Huge buyout.
