Crash Lab developing game adaptation of upcoming sequel for iPhone, iPad and Android

Christmas classic The Snowman makes its way to mobile

A Channel 4 game based on the upcoming sequel to the Christmas classic The Snowman is coming to iPhone, iPad and Android devices this December.

Developed by former Rare and Free Radical developers at the recently founded studio Crash Lab, The Snowman and the Snow Dog is a 3D game that will allow users to relive key moments from the upcoming movie.

The title will also utilise the same hand-drawn style as seen in the film.

The new Channel 4 movie is a follow-up to Christmas classic The Snowman, and features new characters such as the Snowdog.

The title will be released on December 9th just before the Channel 4 movie airs this Christmas.

“The tremendous experience of the team at Crash Lab shines through in their technical, artistic and design capabilities and as a result I know we’ll have an experience that kids and adults alike will love and enjoy,” said Channel 4 commissioning editor for games Colin Macdonald.

Crash Lab MD Steve Ellis added: “We are incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with such an iconic brand and to creating a magical and immersive experience that taps directly into the DNA of the film."
