Chukong opens $50k Cocos2d-x game development contest

Chukong Technologies has opened a game development contest for its Cocos2d-x engine with a top prize of $25,000 up for grabs.

The contest tasks creators to build a game using its tech for Windows or Windows Phone 8.1. Games will be reviewed by a panel of Microsoft and Cocos2d-x judges, and will be based on the quality of submission, performance, creativity and originality.

As well as a $25,000 prize for first place, second place will also receive $15,000 while third place will pocket $10,000.

Developers have until May 31st to submit their entry. Winners will be announced on or before June 23rd.

Visit the Windows game Cocos developer content website for more details.
