Codeworks GameHorizon triumphs at Develop Pub Quiz

Last night 100 games developers came together to test their knowledge at the very first Develop Pub Quiz, with Codeworks GameHorizon taking home the winner’s trophy.

They beat out 16 others, including groups from Rare, Black Rock, NCsoft, Jagex, Sony London Studio, Introversion and Relentless, to get not only the winner’s cup but also a copy of Buzz each (kindly supplied by Relentless).

The popular event was the opening night’s networking event at the Develop conference and expo.

Questions on general knowledge, movies, music, lolly-stick jokes and games were fielded by Develop deputy editor Ed Fear.

1st. Codeworks GameHorizon – 37 points
2nd. Relentless – 35 points
Joint 3rd: Jagex & Eutechnyx – 34 points each
Joint 4th. Q/Peppermint P & Black Rock – 31 points each
Joint 5th. London Studio, Lincoln Beasley, Hotgen & Introversion – 28 points each
Joint 6th. Rare & amBX – 27 points each
Joint 7th. NCsoft & Splash Damage – 26 points
8th. Hansoft – 20 points

(And the less said about Amiqus’ single point, and the University of Derby’s abandoning the quiz because they were losing, the better.)
