Studio seeking online/multiplayer programmer and graphics/engine programmer

Creative Assembly hiring for triple-A console blockbuster

Following the success of Alien: Isolation, UK studio Creative Assembly is already at work on another triple-A title for PS4, Xbox One and PC – and it’s hiring.

The developer is best known for PC-based strategy series Total War, but last year upped the ante for its console team with the acclaimed Alien: Isolation.

Now job listings have emerged that call for two people to join the team working on a "multi-platform AAA blockbuster" for the aforementioned platforms.

The job ads were spotted by Z-Giochi.com, Videogamer reports, with the first one calling for an online/multiplayer programmer with experience of developing for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, as well as knowledge of the developer environments for Xbox Live, PSN and Steam.

"We are seeking a talented programmer [who] has thorough experience developing a range of online features," the listing reads.

Meanwhile, a second job listing – this time for a graphics/engine programmer – calls for similar experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating "graphics tech and pipelines" and "GPU/CPU optimisation for performant systems".

They will join an engine team that Creative Assembly claims will be "working at the cutting edge of interactive graphics technology".
