Crytek partners with ESL for Warface eSports

Crytek and ESL have partnered in order to run Warface eSports competitions.

The free to play shooter from Crytek will become a part of ESL’s Go4 series, which sees many other games run weekly competitions with a monthly final. This will be the case for Warface when the Go4Warface tournament series launches next month.

Starting on Sunday August 7th, the series will feature a weekly competition with €100 on the line. The top eight teams from these weekly competition will be invited to a monthly final, which will have €500 up for grabs. The entire Go4Warface tournament series will have a €10,000 prize pool, which is expected to grow if the competition proves successful.

We’re delighted to join forces with ESL and offer FPS players and our ever-growing community a new way to compete,” said Ilya Mamontov, Director of Game Operations at Crytek. Warface’s gameplay is built around rapid action and tactical teamwork which is ideally suited to intense esport competition. Warface is always evolving with regular content and feature updates, and this is an exciting push forward into the esports scene for us – we can’t wait to see players give it their all on the battlefield.”
