PS3 and Xbox 360 versions set for San Francisco debut

Crytek to show off CryEngine 2 ports at GDC08

Crytek will show off its cutting-edge CryEngine 2 technology on Xbox 360 and PS3 to ‘a select audience’ for the first time at this February’s Game Developer’s Conference 2008 in San Francisco.

The company will also be demonstrating how well the engine can perform on a $600 as an attempt to combat the belief that the engine only performs well on top-of-the-range machines.

There will also be a series of public presentations at Crytek’s booth (North Hall, #6611), demonstrating rapid level construction in the Sandbox 2 editor, the engine’s next-gen animation pipeline, interactive music capabilities and general engine architecture.

GDC08 runs from February 18th to 22nd at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
