Work-for-hire studio and Develop Awards finalist embraces Perforce’s latest product

D3T chooses Perforce Helix for future projects

D3T has become the latest studio to use Perforce’s new cloud-based Helix software in its games.

The studio – which is a finalist in a Creative Outsourcer category of tomorrow’s Develop Awards for its work on the PS4 version of Super Stardust Ultra – will be using Helix to standardise its software development and ensure its designers, engineers and artists are all on the same page.

Cloud-based service Perforce Helix was launched earlier this year at GDC.

“Perforce’s versioning and collaboration engine is at the core of each project we work on, whether it’s a basic app or a major component of a triple-A game,” said D3T co-founder and commercial director Jamie Campbell.

“We work on multiple projects at a time, collaborating on large files and across multiple geographies. We couldn’t do that without a version control system that can scale without sacrificing performance.”
