Five-year effort to be 'in print by GDC' says famed industry figure

Dave Perry readies game design book

Dave Perry has spent the last five years working on a not-for-profit game design tome – and it’s finally nearing release.

In a newsletter, Perry announced that a deal has been signed with Charles River Media to publish the book, co-written with Rusel DeMarina, which he calls ‘the biggest game design book ever made’.

"It contains a ton of brainstorming reference for game design ideas and stories to help inspire you to easily generate amazing new ideas," wrote Perry.

The book is expected to be in print by this year’s GDC, which takes place from March 23rd to 27th in San Francisco. A website for the book, at www.gamedesignbook.org, will be fully launching soon.
