Earthworm Jim creator awarded Doctorate of Science for industry efforts

David Perry honoured by Queen’s University

Northern Irish game designer and founder of Shiny Entertainment David Perry has been awarded an honorary Docturate of Science for distinction in computer game development and design by Queen’s University.

Perry was presented with his degree by Dr Maire O’Neill, a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow at Queen’s University, who said: “Awarding David Perry with an honorary degree is a fitting recognition of his outstanding accomplishments as a programmer, developer, consultant, entrepreneur and visionary in the global video game industry.”

Perry recently delivered a keynote address at the University on the interactive entertainment industry.
