Chicago-based studio takes the reigns for third-installment of horror franchise

Day 1 Studios confirmed as FEAR 3 devs

Warner Interactive has confirmed that FEAR 3 is being developed by Day 1 Studios, who worked with previous developer Monolith on past franchise titles.

MCV reported that the title is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this autumn.

Director John Carpenter and comic script writer Steve Niles are both acting as consultants to Day 1 during the development process.

“Monolith Productions has passed the torch to Day 1 Studios to create a quality, powerful game that stays true to the roots of the FEAR franchise but takes players to a heightened level of gameplay,” Warner Bros Interactive president Martin Tremblay stated.
