Hamburg-based mobile studio hires former Bigpoint, Goodgame and Gameloft devs

Deep Silver Fishlabs adds three senior staff

Three new appointments at Deep Silver Fishlabs have bolstered the developer’s senior staff.

The mobile studio, based in Hamburg, has recruited Henning Weiss as senior VFX artist, Phillip Chan as senior game systems deisgner and Ankur Suri as senior marketing manager. The hires bring Fishlabs’ headcount up to 92.

Weiss previously served the same role at Bigpoint, and has worked as a 3D Artist at 49 Games. He will be co-ordinating the visual effect team on a new triple-A mobile game.

Chan leaves his position as lead designer at Goodgame Studios, bringing with him experience from stints at EA Mythic, NCsoft and Carbine Studios. He will be working on an unannounced high-end title.

Finally, Suri joins after working at Gameloft, MSL Group and SocialEyez-Carma. He will be responsible for managing the marketing of Fishlabs’ own IP as well as the third-party titles the company helps to bring to market.

Deep Silver Fishlabs is still hiring for back-end and engine developers, as well as various positions in its art and game design departments.
