Develop 74 available now

The latest issue of Develop is out today.

This month our cover story takes a look at Quantic Dream’s recently announced exclusivity deal with SCEE, talking to studio CEOs David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumiere.

The pair discuss a number of topics, including making games that secure emotional investment from the player and what it’s like running a games development company in France.

We’ve also got the exclusive news on NCsoft’s UK development expansion and new technology from mocap company Animazoo.

A special issue that will also be distributed at this month’s Develop conference and expo, Develop issue 74 is also our biggest issue ever, boasting an exclusive Q&A with Nintendo regarding Wii Software, an interview with Autodesk’s Michel Kripalani, a look at what developers think of the Manhunt 2/Resistance fiascos.

We’ve also got an in-depth guide to the upcoming conference and two features written by speakers at the event, looking at Second Live’s questionable terms of service and how developers can benefit from the community-driven Web 2.0 movement.

Elsewhere, our technology and services focused Build section offers an in-depth look at the QA, localisation and testing sector, speaking to all the leading companies, giving a market overview and a dedicated localisation tutorial. Build also offers all the details on new tools and tech releases from Luxology, +7systems, Emergent, Quazal, Adobe, Firelight and many more.

Develop issue 74 lands on subscribers desks today, or a free PDF download can be downloaded here.
