Ten finalists will be granted free conference passes and the chance to demonstrate their game to 1,800 attendees

Develop: Brighton opens submissions for Indie Showcase

You can now apply for your chance to feature in this year’s Develop: Brighton Indie Showcase.

The event, which is free to enter, offers studios with fewer than 15 people, funding without a publisher and working on a budget under £1 million the opportunity to display their projects at this year’s show in July.

Around 1,800 representatives from developers and publishers are expected to attend.

Ten finalists will be awarded with two free Indie Dev Day conference passes, up to five Expo passes, pre-event publicity and a profile on the Develop: Brighton website – as well as the main prize of exhibiting in the event’s showcase.

Adam Green of Assyria Games will once again chair the judges’ panel, comprised of experts from across the industry.

Past winners include critical darlings Gunpoint, Darklings and That Dragon, Cancer. Last year’s Overall Showcase prize was given to Fiddlesticks’ Hue (pictured), which also picked up the People’s Choice award.

The deadline for entry is May 19th, with People’s Choice and Overall Showcase winners set to be revealed on July 14th during the Develop: Brighton conference.
