March 25 deadline set for all speaker proposals

Develop Conference 2010 calls for speakers

The fifth annual Develop in Brighton Conference is now allowing developers to register their interest in making speaker sessions for the leading European event.

Delegates can now submit their ideas for possible panel discussions and keynotes via an online form, which you can find here. The deadline for proposals is 25 March 2010.

Last year’s Develop in Brighton event drew in attendees representing the likes of Realtime Worlds, Media Molecule, Microsoft, Playfish, Lionhead, Sony Computer Entertainment, Epic Games, Crytek, Frontier, Silicon Knights, thatgamecompany and Bizarre Entertainment.

“The Develop Conference has always prided itself on being an event created by developers for developers. So, as well as inviting speakers directly, the call for submissions offers developers the chance to help shape the programme themselves,” said Andy Lane, managing director of organiser Tandem Events.

Develop in Brighton Conference has notched up over 80 quality sessions given by international development experts, with some 1,200 developers getting together to share ideas, learn from each other, and socialise.

This year’s conference will begin on Tuesday 13 July with Evolve; a day of sessions dedicated to the cutting-edge of interactive entertainment. New platforms, new technologies and new markets will dominate debate and presentations at the show,

The following Wednesday and Thursday will boast a high-quality programme delivering practical advice on the latest issues, tools, tricks and techniques of game development.

This year also sees the introduction of special long-form masterclass sessions, that will go deeper than ever before to comprehensively cover opportunities such as self-publishing for game developers.
