We're dedicated the next five days to delving deeper into the possibilities of virtual reality

Develop kicks off VR Week

Virtual Reality is the technology on everyone’s lips at the moment – and it may be on our heads sooner than you think.

With Sony announcing Project Morpheus for PlayStation 4 and Facebook buying Oculus VR for a whopping $2bn, the concept is rapidly becoming big business for the games industry.

With so much buzz around the tech, Develop is declaring the next five days as VR Week. We’ll be publishing a series of special features and interviews exploring the potential of virtual reality for games developers, as well as interviews with some of the studios making waves with their demos and forthcoming VR games.

We’ll also be speaking to Sony about the much talked about Project Morpheus and Oculus about its pioneering VR headset – plus, some little-known alternatives to these headline-grabbing projects.

Want to get involved? Have something to say about virtual reality and what it means for developers? Email James.Batchelor@intentmedia.co.uk to find out how you can take part.

Keep your browsers pointed to Develop Online all this week, and find out why virtual reality is virtual no more.
