Venue confirmed for first ever conference from the Develop team

Develop Live to be held at The Traverse Theatre

Develop can reveal that the inaugural Develop Live conference will be held at The Traverse Theatre.

Located in the centre of Edinburgh, a short walk from the city’s iconic castle, the venue is billed as Scotland’s new writing theatre with a history of working with the nation’s most ambitious playwrights and authors.

The Traverse will host our one-day conference, which will see a wide range of development experts – from among both the Scottish games industry and further afield – discuss some of the hottest topics in games development today.

There will also be networking opportunities in the theatre’s bar area. You can find out more about The Traverse at www.traverse.co.uk.

Earlier this month, we announced the first wave of speakers would include British crime writer Christopher Brookmyre, as well as experts from firms such as DeltaDNA, Dimensional Imaging, Speech Graphics, and more.

Additional speakers and keynotes will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Tickets cost £149, with discounts available for students as well as UKIE and TIGA members. You can book your place at www.develop-live.com, or find out if you are elligible for discount by emailing James.Batchelor@intentmedia.co.uk.

Abertay University is supporting Develop Live as event partner, while new consumer event Game Expo Scotland is media partner.
