Develop begins an extended look at the studios making waves in the UK capital

Develop London Special kicks off today

Today Develop has kicked off a special look at some of London’s leading game studios. Starting with Zoë Mode London, the focus will deliver an unmissable guide to what the UK offers developers that make it their home, and provides an overview of a city that has long served as creative hub to a range of technology and media sectors.

As well as visiting the team behind Disney: Sing It Pop Hits, we’ll be publishing profiles of outsourcing team Slide, audio specialists High Score and Slide, developers Honeyslug, Eiconic and Waterfront, and SPOV, the studio behind Modern Warfare 2’s highly praised cinematics.

“I think the cross-pollination of ideas that come from being in such a vibrant city is important," enthused Zoë Mode’s studio head Nicolas Rodriguez in today’s profile.

"We talk to online and advertising agencies, graphic design studios and recording facilities about the way they work and see if we can learn anything from them. It’s also great to see the London games scene thriving again.”

Check back with our features section everyday until next Wednesday for a new profile.
