Only a few places left at this month's industry battle of wits

Develop Quiz: How many Year of Luigi titles have been released?

Here’s some fun for a Friday afternoon: Nintendo harped on about 2013 being the Year of Luigi, honouring Mario’s oft-shunned brother, but how many titles did the green-clothed plumber star in?

That’s just an example of the tricky conundrums that await you at The Develop Quiz, which returns in full force on Wednesday, January 29th.

The popular event will once again be held at Holborn’s Sway Bar, and pits developers from around the nation against each other as they fight over some fantastic prizes.

Teams currently signed up include our headline sponsor Improbable, Datascope, Creative Assembly, Space Ape Games, First Touch Games, Jagex, Firefly Studios, Bossa Studios, Side, Wave, Cube Interactive and Future Games of London.

Plus there will be two teams of local indie stars, including Xiotex’s Byron Atkinson-Jones, IndieHaven’s Laura-Kate Dale, Zero Dependency’s Andy Esser, Opposable Games’ James Parker, composer Gavin Harrison, Two Tails’ Dave Mitchell, Cristos "Failnaut" Reid, FortressCraft’s Adam Sawkins and NUA’s Robin Silcock.

Fancy joining them? There’s only a few spaces left, so hurry and book your place now.

The cost of entering a team (five-person maximum) is £249, which not only gets you a place at one of the industry’s best networking events but also secures you some top notch grub and a free bar.

…oh, you want the answer?

Luigi starred in five games during the Year of Luigi: Luigi’s Mansion 2 for 3DS, New Super Luigi U for Wii U, 3DS RPG Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros, Wii U platformer Super Mario 3D World and this month’s Wii U download title Dr Luigi.

Yes, that’s longer than a year but Nintendo extended the promotion. We don’t make the rules. Apart from at the quiz, where we definitely do.

Did you get that right? Kathryn.Humphrey@intentmedia.co.uk. Tell her we sent you.
