Murasaki Baby developer plots hiring run

Digital Bros invests €1.4m in Italian studio Ovosonico

Digital Bros has invested €1.44m in Italian game developer Ovosonico.

The studio is best known for making side-scrolling puzzle platform Murasaki Baby for the PS Vita. Digital Bros is the parent company of publisher 505 Games.

Digital Bros has suggested the Varese-based developer will retain independent control of its operations. Ovosonico plans to use the investment to hire new staff.

“I was genuinely and positively surprised by the similarities of our goals and content strategies.” said Ovosonico founder and CEO Massimo Guarini.

“Emotional games are a meaningful way for us to create something more universal and wordless, as we’re constantly trying to connect with a broader audience of humans, not just gamers. We believe this will have a huge impact on the market in the years to come, and through this important partnership we believe we will have the right means to pursue our vision.”
