Oskar Burman leaves role for new challenge in Stockholm

EA Easy general manager quits

The general manager of EA-owned online game developer Easy Studios has resigned after just over a year in the role.

Revealing the move on Twitter, Oskar Burman said he felt it was time for a change, and would be taking on a new job in August.

Burman took over the role of GM last April, replacing the outgoing Ben Cousins at the Battlefield Heroes developer.

“I’ve resigned from EA, and will be leaving Easy and Play4Free,” he said.

“One of many goals for me personally when joining EA, was to see a large corporation from the inside. Achievement unlocked. So it’s time for some change. In August I have a new exciting shiny thing waiting for me, as soon as I can speak about it I’ll let you know.”

He added that he would be staying in Stockholm, Sweden for his next job.

EA has yet to comment on the departure and who will replace Burman as GM of Easy Studios.

As well as previously holding the role of COO at Easy, Burman has also worked at Just Cause developer Avalanche as studio manager and development director.
