Third-party devs Harmonix, Valve, Crytek and Flagship boost the coffers for Electronic Arts

EA Partners posts strongest quarter ever

EA’s third-party publishing label EA Partners last night posted its strongest performing quarter ever, boosted by key releases during the Christmas period from Harmonix, Valve, Crytek and Flagship.

Their games Rock Band, Half Life 2: Orange Box, Crysis and Hellgate: London helped the publishers imprint hit record sales levels.

The publisher yesterday said the MTV-funded Rock Band had sold 1.5m copies in North America.

Net revenue for the third quarter was $1.503 billion, up 17
percent as compared with $1.281 billion for the prior year.
