Volga Aksoy and Jerry Phaneuf developing space-based RTS title BlackSpace for PixelFoundry

EA Tiburon veterans launch independent studio

Two former EA Tiburon devs have launched a new independent studio in Orlando.

PixelFoundry has been formed by ex-Tiburon lead software engineer Volga Aksoy (pictured) and former art director Jerry Phaneuf.

The EA veterans are now developing space-based RTS title BlackSpace as their debut game.

“We are early in development on BlackSpace,” said Phaneuf.

“In line with some of the forward thinking independent developers out there, we really want to get the community involved with the game, incrementally releasing features and enhancements, while getting reactions and suggestions.”
