Visceral Games COO Michael Condrey and GM Glen Schofield allegedly out

EA Visceral execs â??depart for Activision’

Two high-profile EA executives have departed from San Francisco dev Visceral Games to join a brand new Activision studio located nearby, according to reports.

Staff at Visceral Games, the studio behind award-winning survival-horror title Dead Space, have been told that general manager Glen Schofield and COO Michael Condrey have departed.

The reports, publicly originating from Gamespot, claim that the departing duo had informed their peers where they were going; a new Activision studio located nearby.

General manager Schofield was central to the first Dead Space project, a game that eventually found critical praise and was the catalyst to Visceral’s rebrand from EA Redwood Shores.

Visceral is now considered a dedicated internal core gamer studio, working on projects such as the Wii edition of Dead Space Extraction and Dante’s Inferno.

The new Activision studio has not been announced or named, though online job postings are implicit of its existence. Reps from both companies have declined to comment.
