EGDF hosting Euro ‘Games Summit’

The European Games Developers Federation has announced plans to hold a day-long event in Brussels next month which will ‘highlight the successes and future potential of the industry in Europe’.

Games Summit takes place on November 7th.

"The main idea of the Games Summit is to support and stimulate the European gaming industry, in line with the recent policy decision to include game research and development in the FP7 and MEDIA programmes, and the French tax decisions in favor of the industry’s development," say organisers.

They also claim, that "The Games Summit is the first high level event that emphasises the growing importance of the gaming industry to Europe".

Speakers include Ian Livingstone (Eidos), Alexander and Hector Fernandez (Streamline Studios), Guillaume de Fondaumière (Quantic Dream), Fred Hasson (EGDF), Pam Kato (health psychologist), Erik Robertson (Playing the Past), Paul Zeeuwts (IWT) and others.
