Ambitious new startup formed by iFone's O'Rahilly and Eidos' Rose

Emote to unveil social gaming tech at GDC08

Emote Games, a company dedicated to funding and producing cross-platform games on emergent channels, will demonstrate its technology at this year’s GDC08.

The company was founded by games industry veterans Morgan O’Rahilly, who founded iFone, and Dave Rose to offer developers the ability to extend the value of forthcoming titles by keeping users connected for longer periods of time.

The technology integrates with any game engine to socially enable games and allow cross-platform access, ‘allowing every user to be a participant and not constrained by the limitations of the game or its format.’

"The emote technologies harness the power of social networking and cross-platform access enabling users to stay connected to the brand for longer periods," said Morgan O’Rahilly, Emote Games founder and CEO.

“As a result, this opens the door to vast opportunities including greater brand awareness, broader marketing and distribution possibilities, and expanded revenue opportunities.”
