Organiser Think services hails its â??truly successful eventâ??, GDC Europe 2010 dated

Euro GDC attracts 1,500 industry pros

GDC Europe had attracted nearly 1,500 “professionals and aspiring game developers”, according to organisers Think Services.

The group, which organises all international branches of the GDC event, said the Euro show was “truly successful”.

The three-day conference saw over 130 speakers, more than 40 exhibitors, and some 250 media representatives. Think Services said this made GDC Europe “the largest professionals-only” games industry event in Europe.

“With GDC Europe concluded, we’re happy to look back at a truly successful event that will help guide the European game industry even further into the spotlight,” said Frank Sliwka, Think Services’ VP of European Business Development.

“From Sweden to Germany, France to England, amazing developers from every corner of the continent and throughout North America and Asia came together to make this conference truly pan-European as well as global.”

Next year’s event is set for August 16-18, returning to Cologne.
