British dev unit becomes finalist for 'Top 100 Europe' prize

Eutechnyx nod for Red Herring award

Longstanding UK independent studio Eutechnyx has been nominated for the 2011 Red Herring awards, the group has announced.

The Newcastle upon Tyne based outfit is in the running to claim the ‘Top 100 Europe’ award, chosen by the Red Herring editorial team.

Red Herring, a technology business magazine, said Eutechnyx’s nomination comes as global economic problems soothe.

Eutechnyx COO Darren Jobling said he was thrilled to be nominated.

“Over 23 years, Eutechnyx has been developing games in conjunction with some of the biggest brands in the world”, he said.

“The Red Herring 100 nomination is a testament to the vision of our whole company,” he added.

Eutechnyx is building a NASCAR game for Activsion, among other projects.
